This training provides food handlers with the knowledge and skills they need to safely handle and prepare foods for human consumption. Successful completion of the program assures food managers, regulators and trainers that the certificate holder has completed a basic course in food safety.
Initial Training – completed within 30 days of an employee’s hire date
Initial Manager – training completed within 15 days of hire or promotion date
Update Training – completed tri-annually, every 4 months
Food Handler training is mandatory in Florida for food service workers. This course is Florida approved and meets all state requirements.
